Saw The Help. I know, I’m surprised too. So sue me. I was in the mood for a chick-flick with a social conscience and Heathers and Platoon were out. It was another fine effort from the “By The Numbers” production team. But it was seriously miscast. I mean, where the hell was Lucy and Flip Wilson? At least there was that love scene between Lafayette and Ryan Gosling - I WISH.
The only reason I went to see the movie, Drive, other than seeing Ryan Gosling, and other than seeing Ryan Gosling, and other than seeing Ryan Gosling, was to see the reference to Kenneth Anger’s experimental masterpiece, Scorpio Rising.
